TRADE DEADLINE NEWS

The London Nationals made several roster changes with the announcement of signing three players and trading four by last week’s trade deadline on January 10, 2019. Those added to the team include Wes Dobbin from the Komoka Kings, Adam Keyes from the St. Thomas Stars, and Eric Schneider from the Espanola Express of the NOJHL. The Nationals traded forwards Ryan McAllister and Bryce Lewis to the Komoka Kings for forward Wes Dobbin, a London native who brought in 64 points last season for Komoka and was selected to participate in 2017-18 GOJHL Top Prospects Game and the 2016-17 Western Conference All-Rookie Team. The Nationals also acquired another London native, Adam Keyes, a forward from the St. Thomas Stars in exchange for defenseman Jack Weiringa and forward Brady Elder. Keyes brings a wealth of experience to the Nationals having played in the GOJHL since 2014. Keyes was selected as the Western Conference Offensive Player of the Month for November 2017 with 17 points and brought in a total of 66 points last season for St. Thomas. Eric Schneider, a goaltender from Espanola Express (NOJHL) was also added to the team on January 9th obtaining his rights from the Pelham Panthers of the OJHL. The Nationals are heading into their last stretch of the regular season leading the division with a record of 24-8-1. The team hopes to hold their standing and maintain their pace through the balance of the season.
