On Thursday January 17th, the Nationals signed Nicolas Hatzikiriakos a defenseman from Mississauga Ontario, the right-handed, 6’0, 215lb player with the St. Michael’s Buzzers in the OJHL last season. Hatzikiriakos has spent his last two seasons in the OJHL and is seen to a physical defenseman that can dominate the ice.
The Nationals see him as a strong asset in the back that will help advance the already strong defensive group. The team is heading into their last month of regular season at the top of their division with a record of 25-8-1. Hatzikiriakos will be playing his first home game for the Nationals on Wednesday January 23rd 7 pm, against the Strathroy Rockets.
